I am going into the Army after I graduate but recent events at home have made me want to leave even sooner. I'm in 12th grade by the way.?

Would it be a good idea to drop out and join early, that's IF I can do that which I'm not sure I can.

No high school diploma, no enlisting.

Drop out of what ? High school ?

If you do that, you won't ship and will be dropped from DEP.

You cannot drop out to join. You need to have a High School Diploma or a GED with 15 college credits. You also need to be 18 or have both parents agreeing for you to join

So unless you have enough credits now to graduate it isn't possible.

It wouldn't be the best idea, honestly. My father served in the Military for 24 years, and when he finally retired he went to culinary school for 3 years to become a chef.

Long story short, if you end up dropping out when you've already made it to your last year in high school, you will make it harder on yourself if you want to do something else when you get out/retire.

I know that's it's tough living in a difficult environment. The days drag on. It seems endless. You don't have any motivation.

If your situation is really bad, then you do what you need to do. If it's just a matter of mild dislikes and arguments, then it's not a good idea.

Please see my Yahoo.Best.Answer in the comments. It was asked by a young lady your age, but the answer is so generics that it applies to both sexes.

By the way, Ninefinger is the person who gave me the 14 thumbs down. He has a dozen sock accounts. You might notice that the 14 number is far out of proportion to anyone else here. He is the person with whom you conversed.

You can't join without that diploma unless you get GED and college credits. Finish school, then enlist.

The stupidest thing you could ever do in your life is drop out of school
