Is it possible to grow tall after 19?
I'm 19 y/o female and I'm about 163cm or 5ft 3' and weigh about 150 to 154 pounds. I'm currently undergoing a weight loss for around 35 pounds. I was wondering if it would be possible to grow tall a few inches. My dad is 173 and my mom is shorter than me. I'm also doing stretching exercises for growing tall and following a protein rich diet. I started doing yoga, cardio or kickboxing like 3 to 5 times a week for a month now. No improvement in weight loss due to travel and kinda bad eating habits (I didn't completely cut out sugar or processed food from diet) Is it possible to at least reach my dad's height?
Your height is determined by your genes, not your diet nor your exercise. The most you can do is wear high heels and remember to always stand up straight. It's unlikely that you'll keep growing at your age, so your only real option (if you were very desperate) would be to undergo a procedure that could lengthen your legs by a few inches by breaking them and letting them regrow. I don't think you need a few inches that badly, though, and hey, a lot of guys prefer short girls, so don't feel too bad! :)
