Lincoln LS doesn't crank when I turn the key.?

So my (manual trans car, yes I'm pressing in the clutch when turning the key) . Today I wanted to updated the cluster in my LS to LED's. So I took parts of the dash off to remove the cluster. To remove one of the cluster bolts I had to remove the the stater switch and push it to the side. Well I removed the bolt and got the cluster loose but I couldn't get it out. It was getting dark so I put everything back. However when I went to start my car it wouldn't start. The key turns but no crank and the steering wheel doesn't release. I didn't unplug anything so not sure why it's not starting. I tried jumping it see if maybe the battery is the issue but no. I've connected a scanner but no codes. When I turn the key I can hear the relays clicking.

Hi battery might have voltage but no capacity.

Best check you didn't pop a fuse or something or maybe reset the security

. so 3 years ago you asked how to become a used car dealer

. you've asked questions about at least 20 different makes/models of cars

Now the Lincoln is messed-up . . . . . I like cars too, but I know enough to not mess with things beyond my skill level - and asking questions on Yahoo isn't the way to learn.
