What do you learn about Scrooge in the opening of the novel and how has he changed at the end of the novel?

As you don't know any quotes from the book, have gained no evidence and obviously have no understanding of the era it's hardly surprising you haven't got a clue. I would suggest that you read the book but that would be a waste of time, wouldn't it?
